Sam Harris book Brev till en kristen nation

Brev till en kristen nation

by Sam Harris

translated by av Lena Andersson

With the publication of Brev till en kristen nation (Letter to a Christian Nation) Sam Harris attracted a lot of attention in the U.S, and the book has also influenced the European debate about the role of religion in society.

The book is written as a letter to Christians, and Harris questions and analyses the new forms of religion spreading in schools where Intelligent Design and Creationism are competing with scientific theories. He calls the movement ”a moral and intellectual crisis situation” in this short but effective piece. The book has ranked high on American best seller lists.

Sam Harris (1967) is one of America’s premier critical analysts in the field of religious criticism. He has also written The End of Faith and was awarded with the Pen Award 2005. At present he is studying for a doctor’s degree in neuroscience, within the neurological grounds of belief.
